Block Play
I have a wide variety of building materials, from blocks to Legos and Plugo games. They are great for developing spatial awareness and cooperative play.
Art
Everyday there are material available to creative with. The children get to choose what they would like to make.
Music
Music is part of everyday as well. We are learning to appreciate classical music and well as learning some French as we sing along.
Movement
I have a room dedicated to dance parties or relaxing on mats or building mat forts. It also has a big screen and projector for dancing or yoga or learning about things.
Language
Writing and reading are integrated into to the day as opportunities come up. I have three large whiteboards and a large chalk board mounted on the walls for the children to use whenever they want.
Mathematics
Opportunities to explore math concepts are always available. It might be balancing numbers of things, or measuring ingredients to make our own playdough!
Science
As we explore the outside world we discover many things. The changing of the seasons requires us to change what we wear and what we can do. I have also raised monarchs 5 years in a row now. Always an amazing transformation to watch!
